Since I said I would blog more, I could not pass up sharing this conversation.. Makenna went with me to Walmart for groceries tonight. As we walked through the children's department she was oohing and ahhing over the cute tiny baby clothes. And this comes out...
Makenna: "I can't wait to get married and have kids so that I can buy all these cute tiny clothes".
Me: Wondering if I should panic that she just got excited over tiny baby clothes then at least being thankful that she did mention married, says " yes, but then your husband will tell you there is no money for cute baby clothes so you will have to call Grandma".
Makenna: Oh there will be alot of money because I am going to be a vet and I think they pay well.
Me: "Well if you are a vet then you will not be staying home with your kids all day and you will have to take them to a babysitter. "(while thinking in my head, oh no, what if ALL my children want to work outside the home and they ALL ask me to watch their kids, I will NEVER have quiet!
Makenna: Oh there will be no need for a babysitter because my husband is going to stay home with the kids while I work.
Good plan Makenna! ;0)
By the way, have I mentioned that Makenna wants 6 children? And that she still thinks boys are disgusting? Thank goodness for small favors!

loved this story :) so, even with all the younger sibs, she still wants kids- that's great! I sometimes worry that these eldest daughters will end up childless because of all the countless hours they will have already spent with kids growing up!
